Dear Editor:
It has come to my attention that Gloucester Shire Council - NSW has taken dogs and puppies to the local tip and shot them in broad daylight, apparently witnessed by a local resident.
Isn't Council provided a budget to care for these pound animals? Isn't it illegal to discharge a firearm in a public place? Isn't Council subject to the Animal Cruelty Laws" the rest of us are subject to?
This is an absolute disgrace, ALL concerned need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, not one charge, but individual charges for each and every animal they have shot. There needs to be a FULL enquiry into their budget and firearms licencing and use.
