Letter to the Editor Sent to :
DAILY TELEGRAPH , THE (LONDON)
Dear Editor: I'm baffled by Karin Proudfoot's letter (3rd Jan) regarding Ebbsfleet Garden City. The Garden City may have been delayed but house building in and around the Dartford/Ebbsfleet/Gravesend area is going ahead at a huge pace. Thousands of houses being build on the old Glaxo/Smith/Kline site along with thousands being build in Ebbsfleet on what I assume will be the Ebbsfleet Garden City, to name but a few. As for the "first class road and rail links", the M25 Dartford Crossing has long delays, closures on a regular basis. A2 at a standstill, Dartford/Gravesend gridlocked, causing misery for people trying to get to work, hospital appointments etc. The infrastructure in our area is just not fit for purpose and the new proposed crossing is still under discussion. To end on a positive note the rail links are very good.
