Dear Editor: Please consider my article. Kindly let me know if you wanted Bangalore was known as 'The Garden City'. Woken up by sparrows playing in the puddle. I recall my neighbor feeding the already overfed baby by showing her a black Crow who was aware of his spotlight that he crowed louder. My bicycle ride from R.T. Nagar to Bishop Cotton's Boy's School on St. Marks road used to be clocked within half hour. The ride commenced of the sight of yellow flowers on either side of Mekri Circle to High Grounds, musk smell of grass in Cubbon Park and clean roads. We enjoyed the News In Education (NIE) session conducted by Times Of India where we discussed things far away from algorithm and pythogoras. We were alive. A pensioners Paradise has emerged to Silly Con ( pun intended) Valley to what next I wonder. The college girl and looking constantly at her pink watch yearning to see her clean shaven hero riding his RX 100. The chirping sparrows have given way to cab driver honks. They are spotted honking at parked cars and even at the red signal pole. The trees have given way to sign board of scary Go Go men ( local political figures ) with expresions of constipation rather than grace. The smell of grass has lost at the overwhelming stench of garbage. The college girls are still there looking out for their black bullet ( man's replacement for the crows I guess) hero now has transformed to long bearded young men who look more out of prison or I guess like Galileo Galilei. I guess Castaway has been the inspiration of today's youth. I guess I'm sounding old or rather like our every household army uncle who has several war stories up his sleeve. Nevertheless, I yearn to show my toddler son how a sparow looks, how flowers bloomed and how beautiful our Bangalore once was.
